🩸 The Ultimate DIY Guide to Building weBLEEDfpv LED Tubes
Step 1 – Measure & Prep
-
Cut a piece of tape the same length as your tube.
-
Stick it to your bench as your template.
-
Leave ¼” of play on both ends.
💡 Pro Note: Don’t cut LEDs flush to the tube—you’ll need that wiggle room.
Step 2 – Cut & Wire the LEDs
-
Cut your LED strip to match the tape length.
-
Solder on 3-wire JST plugs.
-
⚡ Critical: Follow the flow of electricity—arrows on the strip must all face the same direction.
💡 Pro Note: Every plug must follow the same path, or your chain won’t light.
Step 3 – Mount LEDs Inside the Tube
-
Peel off the LED strip’s backing.
-
Hold upright and carefully slide into the tube.
-
Use a thin rod/pole to press the strip flat against the inside wall.
-
Ensure it’s straight, centered, and stuck evenly.
💡 Pro Note: Work slow—the straighter the strip, the cleaner the glow.
Step 4 – Build Obstacles & Connect Runs
-
Use daisy chain cables + 2-way JST plugs to connect tubes inside obstacles.
-
Always double-check your flow direction before sealing it up.
💡 Pro Note: Test each tube individually before wiring into a full obstacle.
Final Checks
-
Confirm all strips light individually.
-
Connect them in sequence.
-
Step back and admire that weBLEEDfpv glow 🩸.
